Laser Cutting for Quilters - December 6th 11:30am-1pm class
Lecture Only Class: The future of fabric cutting is with laser cutters. Learn from Shelley Koss, a Nationally exhibiting art quilter/collager who is using a laser cutter for her own paintings. Shelley has exhibited at QuiltCon, all the AQS exhibition locations, Houston International, Pacific International, Mesa Contemporary Art Museum, plus other national and local gallery venues. She will be bringing sample projects to view. Topics will include types of lasers, sizes, speed, power, passes, fabric color, fabric print issues, arrays, safety, glues, fumes, conveyor belts, where to buy patterns, how to make your own, and more. This is NOT a hands-on class and is a lecture class. There will be a hand-out, but you will want to bring a writing instrument for notes and a notepad.
