Community Quilt Project Juried into Quiltcon

I had the pleasure of working with the talented artists that make up the group Modern Fusion. This group is an online guild made up of Modern Quilting Guild members who meet online. Quoting our fearless leader Donna Ciliberto, ““Fractured to Fusion” is more than just a quilt. This project reflects the collective creativity and community - made by 27 MQG Modern Fusion IMC members from 17 states and 2 countries. This powerful design was inspired (with permission) by Robert Frankel’s Skyline series. Each block was improvisational pieced by each member, with a slant towards minimalism. It was assembled by one brave team member. Another used all of the beautiful “leftover pieces” to create a stunning pieced back. Quilted improvisational, this finished artwork is stunning to see in person.
